Our bar has been in existence for 25 years. Until now we’ve been quite happy to make do with a simple cash-register setup. Lately though, it occurred to me that a more modern, computer-based system incorporating some type of inventory tracking might just make my life easier.
I downloaded several trial POS packages from various software companies. Most were inordinately expensive as well as cumbersome to set up. At last I found POS system by OROCUBE. It was open-source; it was economical; it was easy to learn and intuitive to use. When I did have questions, the support team at ORO was right there and eager to help me get up and running.
As of this writing, our staff is really pleased with the system and actually looking forward to belatedly entering the 21st Century. ORO POS even logs our bartenders in and out as well as keeps track of tips, cocktail recipes, and drink specials. Couldn’t be more pleased.
